8mm Gibbs

R.E. “Rocky” Gibbs developed a series of improved cartridges off the .30-06 Springfield. Some of the more notable calibers are the .25 Gibbs, 6.5 Gibbs, .270 Gibbs, 7mm Gibbs, the .30 Gibbs and the 8mm Gibbs. A typical Gibbs case would blow out the case and push the shoulder forward to increase the angle of the shoulder.

There are numerous loads available for the 8mm Gibbs and it is capable of propelling a .323 in. dia. 150 grain bullet at 3,346 fps. and we’ve seen loads that will propel a .323 in. dia. 220 grain bullet at 2,689 fps.

Roberson Cartridge Company is a custom manufacture of Vintage, Obsolete, Hard to Find and Wildcat calibers.
