.458 B&M Super Short

The .458 B&M Super Short was developed after 2005 by William V. Burton and Michael McCourry. It is designed for the Winchester M70 WSM control feed actions. It comes with a 16” barrel and give the rifle an overall weight of 6.25 lbs. and an overall length of 36”.

On it’s first Safari in Africa the .458 B&M Super Short took down a lion using a .295 BBW#13 NonCon at 2560 fps. Designed to handle up to heavier grained bullets, it is capable of propelling a .458” dia. 325 grain bullet at 2,240 fps with 3,622 ft.-lbs. of energy.
