.30 Super Flanged H&H

In 1925 Holland & Holland introduced the .300 H&H Magnum and the .30 Super Flanged. The .300 H&H Mag is second most popular caliber developed by Holland & Holland and is still widely used around the world. The .30 Super Flanged is a rimmed cartridge and is not belted. It is mainly used in double barrel break open rifles and has less recoil that the .300 H&H Mag.

The .300 H&H Mag was designed to tackle large plains game like Zebra, Giraffe, and heavy Antelopes. In North America, the .300 H&H mag is more than capable of taking down elk and moose. While the .30 Super Flanged is typically loaded lighter than the .300 H&H Mag, it too is more than capable of taking the same game.

The .30 Super Flanged is capable of propelling a .308” dia. 220 grain bullet at 2,250 fps. with 2,475 ft.-lbs. of energy.
